Introduction: A Changing World, an Unchanging Word

Every few weeks, our phones ask us to update. New apps replace old ones. Software that felt cutting-edge last year is outdated today. Artificial intelligence is reshaping how we work, learn, and communicate, and our children are growing up in the middle of it all. Parents can feel as though they’re always a step behind.

In a world that never stops changing, it is tempting to think parenting must be reinvented with every new trend, device, and platform.

But some things do not change.

“The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever.”

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”

The technology our children use will keep evolving. The God they need will not. His truth was sufficient for the parents of every past generation, and it is sufficient for us.

Godly parenting is not software to be installed. There is no download, no upgrade, no quick fix. It is a manual for living, drawn from a Word that is living and active, and it is worked out daily through prayer, example, patience, and love.

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

His Word is enough for His work.

In this series, we will look at how to pass the faith on in a screen-filled world, and how to build homes where children and spouses feel safe, valued, and loved. The tools around us will change, but the foundation will not.
